I'm a huge fan of the series, just because of her. I know it's kinda simple minded but hell all her music videos were so beautiful and creative that it was nearly impossible to look away.

Oh and please tell me if you liked it!
Sadly the manga only has three volumes, so there's not much story going on but it's really enjoyable nonetheless.

Information for those who haven't watched the anime:

Macross frontier has 25 episodes and ONE movie.
It's a japanese sience-fiction space drama. Like other installments of the Macross universe, the story mainly revolves around a trio, including Saotome Alto , a young pilot who joins the S.M.S just after the invasion begins, Sheryl Nome, a famous singer known as the "Galactic Fairy/Princess" and Ranka Lee, a teenager aspiring to be a songstress herself.

this has sparked my intrest(just wwatched video)
must u have watched the anime to understand the manga?

This reminds me of Jem and the Holograms only with mechs and in anime...

@animeftw
Well if you know the animation in't much more interessting, since this Manga is kinda "open ended" it introduces the characters of the animation even further. So I can only recommend to watch the animation as well since it was kinda neat. :3

@Babyboy_101
er... okay? xD

@PureBoredom LOL! Well yeah it's kinda like that except that Sheryl's singing is a plot device, it has a special ability. You'll see when you watch the anime, if you are interested. Otherwise I could just "spoiler" you all the fun here
:P

New Macross Hybrid Disc Due for PS3

http://picload.org/image/lpwcdi/2132425319.jpg

Namco Bandai's experimental bundling of game and movie content on a single Blu-ray disc for the PS3's first Macross game last year was apparently successful. Or at least, it was successful enough that it's happening again!

The first bundle featured the Macross F: Itsuwari no Utahime movie and a flight combat game based off the movie. The new bundle, announced in Famitsu this week, is based off Macross F: Sayonara no Tsubasa, which was released to theaters this past February.

Similar to the conversion of Itsuwari no Utahime, Sayonara no Tsubasa will include the full movie, a game, and lots of bonus content, including 70 minutes of special footage, a 48 page all color booklet, and a special box. Details on the game part have yet to surface from the magazine.

The standard version of the game and movie hybrid will cost ¥7,140. Namco Bandai will also release a Special Edition which includes a poster, pamphlet, art collection, script and custom themes. This will be priced ¥10,500.

For those who just want the movie, a DVD version is due simultaneously, priced ¥6,090.

Macross F Sayonara no Tsubasa hits home on October 20.
