That one special album (Thread)

For all those music lovers, I figure there's that one album or soundtrack that really meant a lot to your tastes, not just the band but the one album that have sort of directed your musical tastes into that genre. For me, I am interested in many different genres of music but I always steer towards Classic Rock. I think the album that really got me into that rock even though I loved Classic Rock before was the soundtrack from a movie called "The Lords of Dogtown". The soundtrack had a lot of great 70's music and I always remembered blasting track 12 "Ironman" by Black Sabbath, It was a great CD that had great music. From since I have heard that album, my music selection has broadened but the soundtrack will probably stick with me.

So what is your special album, that meant a lot to you as a music lover?

The Lords of Dogtown was a good movie, but the real movie is Dogtown and Z-Boys.

The Colour and the Shape - Foo Fighters

Pump - Aerosmith

Street Survivors - Lynyrd Skynyrd

Nevermind - Nirvana

Greenday - American Idiot
my mom got it for me when i was like 12, she didn't realize it was mature xD

My Chemical Romance - 3 Cheers For Sweet Revenge
never got the CD, but i used to listen to all the music online

Nevermind - Nirvana Fantastic Nirvana album~

Shougun - Trivium

Like holyshit. This album is my all time favourite metal album, The melodies! THE DRUMS! THE SINGING!! DEM SOLOS!!! So wonderful, Sex for my ear drums.

My first favourite band was Sum 41, And the first album I got was:
Sum 41 - All Killer, No Filler
So naturally, Sum 41's early energic pop punk will always be the base in my music style.

Collision Course by LP/ Jay-Z. No, I'm being serious here.

Yes, it's a terrible album, but it helped me (slowly) branch off to Hip Hop.

Hmmmm... for me it would have to be these 2.
The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance
Let's Cheer To This by Sleeping With Sirens.

I've just recently gotten into SWS in the past year or so, but I've been an MCR fan for as long as I can remember.

In Utero-Nirvana
Thank You, Happy Birthday- Cage The Elephant :D

This album (Timeless by Uverworld) was my first full Japanese Rock album. I had listened to some singles from anime openings, but I had never actually followed a single band. I got the album for D-technolife because Bleach was popular at the time. Then I moved into L'arc en Ciel, Gackt, etc. Still, Uverworld started it and I still listen to Timeless rather often, about 6 years later.
It's there when I'm down, and drinking.
